Master of Science in Nursing Degree (MSN) Application Deadlines (must be completed by):. October 1st for Spring Admission. March 1st for Summer Admission. May 1st for Fall Admission The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is offered online and based on TROY campuses in Montgomery, Troy, Dothan, and Phenix City. The MSN is designed to provide graduates of baccalaureate programs in nursing the opportunity to develop the advanced knowledge and clinical skills required for leadership positions in nursing. The MSN program prepares nurses for advanced practice roles as Nursing Informatics Specialists and Family Nurse Practitioners. The Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate option is available for MSN-prepared nurses.
The MSN degree is awarded on completion of course work with a 3.0 or better grade point average (GPA), fulfillment of candidacy requirements and successful completion of the required comprehensive examination. A certificate of completion is awarded to those who complete the Post Masters FNP Certificate option. Students may enroll for full-time or part-time study.
Students are accepted for admission to all tracks for part-time study every semester or full-time study in the fall semester. The program is offered online. Courses are offered online with clinical experiences. Persons seeking admission to the MSN program must meet the admission requirements of the Graduate School, Troy University and the School of Nursing.
