Star Wars Battlefront 2 Patch 1.4

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Patch 1.4 9,2/10 3576 reviews

Other noteworthy changes are the following things. A bit underwhelming maybe, but I wasn't expecting much and shouldn't have.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is going strong with post-launch content keeping players entertained while battling it out as some of their favourite characters.

  • Battlefront Forever Star Wars Battlefront II mod Released. Do I install the 1.2 patch in the common Battlefront II GameData DATA folder like the 1.2.
  • Here’s the Star Wars Battlefront 2 1.03 Patch notes in full: Reduced the amount of Score and Battle points gained by using the Disruptor Shot mod for the NT-242.

Seems like a decent balancing patch, though hopefully more issues can be addressed in the future. I'm glad the Blurrg, CR-2, supercharged sentry, and Wookiees were, hope to see some tweaking to the vanguard as well since I feel that, while not blatantly OP like the aforementioned, it can be a nuisance.

Just my opinion. Off to a good start! Also, has the coloring system for levels changed? I now suddenly have some purples and more blues when I only had greens and blues previously.

Nerf to Finn might be a bit too harsh 2. Wookie warrior nerf looks good and should bring them in line with deathtroopers 3. CR-2 'nerf' won't change gunplay with that weapon at all (which is good, it didn't need a nerf) 4.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Patch 1.1

Blurrg nerf seems like it might be overdone 5. Sentry nerf remains to be seen since they didn't provide numbers. Bads will still die to it and complain 6. Wished phasma got more buffs 7. Why was Boba Fett nerfed again??? He is now firmly in the 'never pick me ever' catagory for galactic assault.

I'm actually quite perplexed that Emperor Palpatine wasn't nerfed. The only explanation I can think about is that several of these changes were planned a long time ago, and it wasn't able to make it with today's patch. He's a dominating force in Galactic Assault, and with a full epiced out loadout, virtually untouchable. It's an interesting change to both the Wookie Warrior, CR-2 and Blurrg-1120. The damage falloff for Blurrg is a good change as it should still be a deadly weapon in close range.

I wonder how that reduced accuracy is gonna affect it though when using the burst modification. First thing's first. Patch notes are up if you haven't already seen them. I feel the need to talk about Boba, since those changes are most surprising to me. Not in that they nerfed Rocket Barrage again, because I think we all knew that was coming, but in that they did nothing else to him.

Boba's changes are as follows: reduced the damage per rocket of Rocket Barrage from 90 to 78, reduced inner damage radius for each rocket of Rocket Barrage from 2 to 1.5 meters, reduced the outer damage radius for each rocket of Rocket Barrage from 4 to 3 meters. These nerfs are well deserved, since even after Boba's previous nerfs Rocket Barrage was still overpowered. Of course, we all know where this leaves Boba - with a slightly less powerful version of a still very strong ability that, really, is his only strength aside from mobility. He's been a one-trick pony since beta and all this does is make his one-trick less effective. I still do well with him, and this patch isn't going to change that, but he's hardly fun to play.

Just staying in the air as much as possible, getting courageous when Rocket Barrage is available and bravely, bravely running away when it's not. Boba desperately needs some dev love to make him a fun hero. Just letting me aim down the sight and increasing the accuracy of his EE3 would probably be sufficient, even with additional nerfs to Rocket Barrage.

And, if I'm being honest, with Finn, Lando, and Chewbacca, all easily capable of either 1) killing him in mid-air or 2) knocking him to the ground, we can probably roll back those nerfs to his jetpack without unbalancing HvV altogether. Overall, apart from that, good patch. Although, I can't help but question how effective the SCS and Blurrg nerfs will be, since (while they reduced Blurrg accuracy with Burst Mod equipped) they don't fundamentally change the way those weapons work. I'll need to see how drastic the AOE reduction of SCS and ES are before I judge that. Also very glad to see the addition of a new Hero ship for Dark Side in SA, as well as the Blast map for Crait.

Hopefully we can take that as a sign that content additions will not be restricted solely to DLC seasons. Patch 1.1 is rolling out across all platforms this morning / evening.

The full patch notes can be found but please use this thread to discuss all things patch related. Please stay on topic.

Patch

Okay that was what we were waiting on for months? Jeez please tell me Thats just the tip of the iceberg because alot of people are going too be very upset. Boba nerfed again? What about chewbacca? So many issues untouched.

I'm sorry but i can't imagine this is the full patch notes. I'm going too sleep and hopefully in the morning i wake up too a better update. I as a player value and appreciate all the hard work from devs at dice but you got too understand that we believed in this game since 2015 and i haven't lost hope even under the worst circumstances but you can't give us a fraction of whats really going on. None of the LAG issues were mentioned?

Or that Luke is purely the weakest hero? His force abilities don't even kill specialist and his force push doesn't work alot. So many things need too be fixed Thats just the bugs. What about peogression or new content?

Where is all the information. Can we please start a thread for questions regaurding what's next? My biggest concern is Why does everything have too be a secret until the last minute? Why can't we get open information like any other game.

Wars

Why do we have too beg for easy answers? I'm truly confused. Coming from someone who mostly plays HvV: Pretty disappointed with lack of vader choke bugs that have been around since launch. (Instant kill, spazzing out, ability disabling, block/jump disabling, camera lock-on) The finn adjustments seem fine in theory, but without any adjustments to palp I'm curious to see how things go with the main counter nerfed. As annoying as boba can be, nerfing him further and leaving chewy alone seems completely absurd to me.

Barrage was only guaranteed death if you were blatantly not moving or cc'ed by other abilities outside of finns damage reduction buff. (I play neither as mains or alts) Was hoping minor tweaking to saber combat vs. Rolling but oh well, it's not something that hindered me personally and I abuse it plenty on shooters. Palp/Chewy have already been absolute trucks when played well. I think this will be even more so now.

Curious to what others think who play a lot of hvv? Whats with these missile/torpedo kill milestones. They are utter rubbish and everyone knows this. too easy to dodge - deal insignificant damage - are too slow so almost always someone else gets the kill before your torpedoes can hit the target - the rewards are garbage for this sort of tedious work. For the reward the milestones give i would suggest to change it to 'hit targets with torpedoes' instead of 'kill targets with torpedoes' I wish they would just remove them. I'm just trying to to ignore them tbh.

It's not worth the hassle at all.
